A boy (Anish) from rural India, who studied until 12th grade in a pure Hindi medium school, convinced his parents to let him move to Pune for higher studies. This decision marked the beginning of an unexpected journey. Life has since taken him to various parts of the world, allowing him to learn deeply about people management. Now, with a heart full of gratitude and a wealth of experience, he aspires to touch millions of lives through technology. By combining his knowledge of talent practices with innovative tech solutions, he hopes to bring joy and transformation to many.
This journey mirrors a startup’s path: starting with humble beginnings, facing challenges, and seizing opportunities for growth. Just as he transformed his own life, his startup aims to leverage technology to create positive, widespread change in talent management.
“As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with both gratitude and excitement for the path I have chosen. This dream of starting my own entity was brewing for a few years.
My tenure as CHRO at Unilever Australia New Zealand was a superb experience, allowing me to collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry and tackle complex challenges in business. However, amid these successes, I realized there was an untapped potential in leveraging technology to solve profound issues within the HR landscape. I was lucky to work for more than 2 decades with giant institutions like ITC, ICICI Prudential, Reckitt Benckiser, Essar & Unilever (the majority part of my career was with Unilever in different countries, in various roles). It’s been a tough decision leaving a wonderful company Unilever after 16 years as you can imagine.
I am deeply committed to solving talent-related problems through innovative technological solutions. I believe that by harnessing the power of technology, we can create environments where employees not only excel but also find genuine joy and satisfaction in their work. This transformation is not just about enhancing productivity; it’s about cultivating a culture where individuals feel valued, engaged, and motivated.
Last couple of years I have been associated with a venture capitalist as a selection committee member for start-ups. This experience gave me lots of confidence, allowing me to finally decide to begin an HR tech start-up all things people (www.at-people.com) with 2 co-founders Shashank Shekhar and Kshitij Jain, supported by seasoned leaders who have come on board as advisors. We, the founders of atp, are dedicating the next phase of our careers to ‘organizational transformation by raising the bar on talent, enabled by technology .
Our startup all things people aims to transforming business outcomes through products and solutions rooted in the science of human behaviour, crafted by experience, enabled by AI and technology. We will be celebrating our 1st anniversary in July. The learning has been immense and exponential.”
Businesses can leverage employee engagement as a strategic asset for driving innovation, productivity, and sustained organisational success.
